Dan Bowles is one of our full-time instructor’s here at Dallas Bay Skypark.


 

Dan grew up loving airplanes and flight, he was an active model airplane enthusiast as a teenager, and then got distracted by a music career before starting to fly many years later. After obtaining his CFI, CFII, and MEI, he taught intensely at Signal Aviation for two years, flew a year in corporate aircraft, and brings 2500 hours of experience to his teaching today. Along with his Flight instructor ratings, Dan also holds instrument-rated, Commercial certificates in both single and multi-engine aircraft, as well as a commercial glider rating, he hopes to add a glider instructor to his certificates one day soon. He is active with the Civil Air Patrol as a Mission Pilot, Check Pilot, and CAP Instructor. Still active as a performing trumpet player, Dan also directs the Jericho Brass, Chattanooga’s Traditional Brass Band.
